Maine Coon kittens are one of
the most popular breeds as they are known for their
playfulness, intelligence, gentle temperament, loyalty, soft
high-pitched meow and thick, water-resistant, silky
coat. Maine Coon cats are one of the oldest breeds in
North America and also one of the largest. Male Coon cats
can weigh up to 18 pounds and lengths up to 40 inches (100cm)
but require about three to four years to reach full
maturity. Maine Coon cats have a muscular build and come
in a variety of colors but the most common is a brown
tabby. Maine Coons enjoy hunting games and playing near
(but not in) water. The Maine Coon's coat needs
regular grooming but helps it adapt to cooler climates.
The Maine Coon breed is prone to hip and spinal problems as
well as heart abd kidney disease. The following
videos illustrate several examples of Maine Coon
